PlanetOfBets 2019 Review – Is it any Good?
The name PlanetofBets suggests to me that there will be a huge choice of markets from sporting events all around this world. It’s easy to assess that just by taking a quick look at the website but the only way to be really sure about everything a site has to offer is to sign up.

Fast and Simple Registration
Nobody wants to be hanging around for ages while they complete the sign up; We’re all busy people so the good news is that at PlanetOfBets, things are taken care of very quickly. When you click on the main url you can take a trip around the whole sportsbook while there are two ways of accessing those sign up pages.
The first way is to simply click on the Register Now! Button. The exclamation mark suggests they really want you on board as a customer or, if you click on ‘sports’ then you’ll find the registration forms too.
Only very basic information is needed and within five minutes I’d completed all the preliminaries. Verification of ID takes a little longer but you can get on and start betting right away so this is a very positive start to this PlanetOfBets review.
Let us Walk you through the site
For those who find design important, we felt that the PlanetOfBets sportsbooks featured one of the more attractive layouts that we’ve seen in recent times. A striking black background with bright, contrasting colours really make this stand out.
First impressions are therefore good but for most of us, it’s more important to be able to work our way around a website and to find markets, help options and other functions quickly and easily. On that basis, the operator scores very well so that’s another tick for this PlanetofBets review but you will find that things are laid out a little differently here.
For example, the list of sports isn’t displayed down the left hand side of the page but instead, it’s on a scrolling bar right in the middle. All other buttons are where you would expect them and they are simple to find. Overall, the site takes a little getting used to but it’s quite simple really and once you’re on board, you’ll find it very easy to work your way around.

Licensing, Safety and Other Important Credentials
We all want to know that we are safe online and while this may not be the most interesting part of the PlanetOfBets review it’s certainly a very important one. Starting with the licensing element, this is displayed but players have to initially click on the Help button before heading to the About Us section.
Are there any great Promotions here?
While the previous section of this PlanetOfBets review may not have been the most exciting, that’s certainly not the case when we look at the offers and promos part. There’s good news here too because this looks to be one of the most generous bookmakers to have come on the scene for some time.
That generosity begins at the very start of your journey with a great welcome bonus that promises a deposit match of 100% on your opening credit and can rise up to a decent $50 USD as the upper limit. The deal is only available in certain countries but it’s a wide list and happily the United Kingdom is included on it. Full terms and conditions can be found via the Help button at the top right hand corner of the homepage.
Once that offer has been claimed, there are some price boosts that can be picked up at regular points so while most of the value comes at the start of your PlanetOfBets journey, the welcome deal does give way to some enhanced prices moving forward.
What About Those Markets?
We mentioned that the list of markets is shown along a line across the middle of the homepage but what exactly is available? The sports listed are among those you would typically see at a sportsbook whose focus in on mainland Europe. There is soccer, of course, along with rugby and tennis markets while the most common US sports also get plenty of coverage.
Handball is here to please those Europeans but there is no horse racing which could be a blow for UK account holders. Overall, the list is very compact and only the most popular sports can be found here but for the vast majority of the betting community, that’s all they really want.
There is no live betting at the time of writing (September 2018), but this is a new sportsbook and that situation could well change in the near future. As one piece of final good news with which to end this PlanetOfBets review, there is a growing set of eSports options so for those who like their gaming, this is a good place to check out.
What Funding Methods Can I use?
- Established: 2006
- Company: Planet of Bets Entertainment B.V.
- Licence: Available
- Live chat: Yes
- Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Customer support: 24/7
- Adress:Office 3, Unit R, Penfold Works Trading Estate, Imperial Way, Watford, Herts, WD24 4YY
There is a big emphasis on Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies when you first take a look at the PlanetOfBets site so for those who do like to play with crypto, it’s worth checking this out. There’s a really good set of options here too and while Bitcoin will always be the main focus for crypto bookies, players can also use Dogecoin, Litecoin and Ethereum.
But don’t worry if the blockchain confuses you because PlanetOfBets also takes FIAT money and there are many ways in which you can deposit to or withdraw from your account. Cryptocurrency goes through the usual channels but for FIAT money, the operator will accept all of the major debit and credit cards plus eWallets such as Qiwi and EcoPayz.
Some punters may want to see Skrill and Neteller added to that roster but it’s a wide list and will surely have at least one method that allows everybody to get on board and start playing.
Is there Effective Customer Service?
As you may have noticed as you’ve worked your way through this PlanetOfBets review, the Help button on the top of the homepage is quite central to their customer service. This leads to lots of information about the bookmaker, their holding company and their license but players can also find answers to lots of queries related to the welcome offer and general terms of the site.
Essentially, this is the Frequently Asked Question section but for those who need a little more assistance, there are ways of getting in touch with an adviser. Next to the help icon is a button marked ‘contact’ and this is your gateway to speaking with someone directly.
As of September 2018 there was no live chat facility on the site but there is an online form which I used and got an extensive and useful reply within a couple of hours. In addition, the bookmaker also publishes a UK mobile number which account holders can use to get straight through to an adviser.
It’s unusual to see a mobile number being linked to a help section and while I didn’t try this personally, it should prove to be a useful innovation that would, in theory, allow the customer to get through in a shorter space of time.
In summary, while it would be good to see more options listed under this section, what’s here is fast and effective and that’s the biggest plus point.
- Ability to bet in-store
- Mobile App
- Variety of Markets
- Customer Care
- Easy Registration
- Bonus Offer
- Banking Options
- Loyalty Program
Conclusion: What’s the Thinking Behind my High Ranking of 9.0?
I’m rounding off this PlanetOfBets review with a high overall mark of 9 out of 10 and there are many reasons why I think the sportsbook deserves this. Firstly, they welcome you on board in a nice way with a quick and simple sign up process which is followed up with a generous welcome bonus worth up to $50 USD as an upper limit.
Regular odds for all sports are also very competitive so once you’ve claimed that bonus, there should be no issues in finding value through the life of that account.
The mark could have been higher if the help options had been easier to find and it takes something of a detour to find the information that you need but it’s there and it’s logically laid out when you do get there. Also, it would be good to see more sports being made available in the near future as the current list only features a few of the more popular events.
For cryptocurrency users, I would definitely suggest taking a look here as there are lots of options including Bitcoin and more but in general this is plenty to enjoy here and to conclude this PlanetOfBets review, I would highly recommend them as a new sign up.
